About Staging

Your house is no longer your home.  Your home is not for sale but your house is!  The idea behind Staging is to neutralize and simplify your home to appeal to the eye of all potential buyers.  Once your home goes on the market, you must think of it as a product that you need to market - not as your home.  This can be challenging as we all love our homes, and have worked hard to make them just the way we want them.  However, if you want top dollar and a quick sale so that you can move on to your next great home, it is crucial that you treat your home as a product!  Put on your marketing hat, because together with Staging, we will market your home to sell!

How to get mentally prepared:

  • Before you can market your house, you must decide how to package it.
  • You want to package your house so that it is appealing to the customers that will see it, as you want them to choose your home over the competition.
  • In order to gain an edge in your marketplace, you have to be priced right and look better than the competition ? the best proven way to package your house and gain the competitive edge is to STAGE IT!

How the Staging process works:

  • Your home will be viewed by your Stager from the outside in.  It is just as important to StageŽ the  outside of your home as the inside.  You want potential buyers to already be in love with your home when they pull up!
  • You can expect your Stager to take many photos of the exterior and interior of your home.  The Stager is able to take the photos home to creatively prepare your home for Staging.
  • Your Stager will present you with a Staging Bid that will disclose to you the costs of the Staging and any rental items
  • Your Stager will return  on a mutually determined date and time to conduct the Staging process.
    Be Prepared to pack many items up early!  Your Stager will let you know what is expected of you to prepare your home to be Staged.
  • Get ready to come home to your house anew!  It will look so amazing, you might wonder why you're moving!
What will be done to your home(may be one or more of the following):
  • De-cluttering - packing up of your personal family photos, special collections, and other potentially distracting items in your home.
  • Rearranging of furniture - removing unnecessary and bulky furniture and accessories.
  • Decor rearranging - removing and/or adjusting wall art, knick knacks, lamps and other design pieces.
  • Adding rented furniture/decor items to empty rooms/vacant homes.
  • Painting mutually agreed upon walls.
  • Adding window treatments where necessary.
  • Yard cleaning/pruning, removal of deceased plants/shrubs where necessary.
  • Adding plants/flowers to the yard/deck/patio.
  • Anything else you and your Stager agree upon - the sky is the limit!
